AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D

It was nothing really, it's an Asus B650E-E and my AIO only has one cable, so it went into the socket labelled AIO on the motherboard :D

The bios warning was pretty self explanatory, and also told me to go into bios and disable the CPU fan monitor warning, so hats off for that :)

Yep even on custom watercooling, my idles around 43c but mine is clocked slightly higher with PBO enhancement and a curve optimiser.
After a day of testing, my 9800X3D is idling around 41/42c now. And that's with a 200mHz PBO boost.

fair enough, as long as its all sorted and your up and running!

Are there any immediate AMD CPU tweaks I should do? Bios & windows settings etc?
In BIOS, enable PBO ( in advanced or overclocking CPU settings - set it to "advanced" ) and tweak the Curve Optimiser settings to a negative 20 ( or more if tolerated ) adjustment on all cores. If you want, you can also add in a clock boost ... many people, myself included, have a 200mHz boost. Also, make sure the X3D gaming boost is switched off in BIOS ... not needed for the 9800X3D as you don't have any additional cores that need "parked" whilst gaming ; this option is really for the 9900X3D and 9950X3D. You can read more about these changes in the last 10 pages or so of this thread. I've been using PBO / CO adjustment without any issues on my last 3 CPUs ( 5800X3D, 7800X3D and now the 9800X3D ). The advantage of doing these tweaks is you're undervolting the CPU which generates less heat and allows the CPU to boost to higher speeds for longer with less thermal throttling. You can take additional advantage of that by applying a clock boost ( as described earlier ) or alternatively electing to keep your CPU more efficient/cooler.

Nice one, appreciate that. I'll look into tweaking the bios.

Is that core isolation still a thing in Windows?
It is for CPU's with dual CCDs. Windows event scheduler still doesn't 100% reliably "park" cores during gaming. There are workarounds with 3rd party apps, but games with in-built anti-cheat software may flag them as "hacking" and switch them off ( and get you banned ! )

9800X3D arrived earlier today, put it in my PC, did some testing, 23400~ in CB R23 with -30 CO and 6000Mhz on RAM, basically everything else on default in BIOS, not bad, there's still room for improvement, later on I'm gonna try -35, then -40 if it ends up being stable, and do +200 override.
