AMD RYZEN 9950X3D / 9900X3D IN STOCK & AVAILABLE FROM 1PM TOMORROW !!

@Gibbo i have already ordered one and I already have a dispatch notice. On tomorrow’s pre-order would I be allowed to order another one.

I can’t live with myself if one of my pc’s had the peasants chip and the other had the 9950x3d.

Impressed with this launch tbh, after watching Gamers Nexus yesterday saying that you'll be unlikely to get one at MSRP on launch, it seems everyone was better stocked than anyone anticipated. Good job, AMD. Got mine too, pretty stoked!

Seriously people are trying to scalp them for £950?

People will always try it on, the only thing that matters is if they actually sell on there at those prices.

I think it was more of an expectation that there would be more demand for it. The reality is that it is in a pretty niche place. Retailers knew how much stock they had yesterday, but they still expected it to sell out within minutes and it just didn't happen.

If these were seriously sought after, there's no chance that the double-digit inventory remaining at 14:00 would have lasted 15 minutes.

I suppose that's true. Still, having stock in the triple digits with more on the way the following day is a much better state of affairs than team green's newest launch. It seems that almost everyone who wanted one, got one, and even if they didn't, they won't have to wait long to get their hands on one.

Not sure why you're comparing it to a GPU launch as it's a completely different thing. Also, AMD's recent GPU launch on here didn't exactly go well did it  loads of long time members couldn't get one at MSRP.

Plenty still did, cannot please everyone with limited numbers. :)

Because they're similar insofar as it's a new piece of hardware marketed at gamers, albeit not exclusively for gaming, but either way it's an upgrade. Coming from a 5950X personally. Do you think that people think a GPU is more important when it comes to gaming? It depends on the game I suppose, but having a weaker CPU is a severe impairment.

But the launches aren't similar at all, GPU launches today are a different kettle of fish with different demands on the industry. nVidia's gaming revenue is now about 7% of total revenue.

It depends on how old the CPU is, on average you'll see a bigger performance boost from, say, a 4 year old GPU compared to a 4 year old CPU unless you're still playing at 1080p or playing mostly CPU bound titles. It's doubtful that anyone looking at these chips is still playing at such a low resolution, and GPU intensive titles vastly outnumber CPU intensive ones.
