AMD To Launch RV770 On June 18th

hmm one question guys, if i get a 4870 and then xfire it with another how much performance, if any, will i lose compared to the upcoming 4870x2 ? (i know we can't know for certain but someones got to have an idea)

Trying to decide whether to wait for the 4870x2 or get a single 4870 and get another later.

Why not just get a single 4870 for now, then get a 4870 X2 when they come out. :D

If it is tomorrow, won't it just be the 4850's, as according to reports, the 4870's havn't even been shipped out yet, and are not likely to be shipped out until about 1-2 days before the 25th launch, so its going to be tight for them to make 25th.

4870's are still in production apparantly so I can't see those coming tomorrow.

4850 is hard launched then so reviews should come on that day aswell as the card should be for sale then where as only the offical specs, pictures and what not of the 4870 will be relased. They wont actually be for sale, just the 4850.

Apparently. Just have to wait and see.

FXvideocards (USA) had the 4850 priced at $199.99 and where taking a one day only pre-order day today and it said on there that they would be shipped on 25th. But that seems to have ended now.

Lets hope not. This gives NVIDIA time to prepare a counter release. I heard 4870s will come on 25th but not a mass availability

800SP's crammed into this little tiddler. Not much bigger than a penny.
