The above statement from Anandtech is extremely misleading to be honest and I'm very surprised they didn't say something more along the lines of "The 1000W OCZ EliteXStream was having problems running a system consisting of two ATI 4850 graphics cards, which could be various for example, a design fault or a faulty power supply unit. However, a branded 1000 wattage power supply unit would normally be more than enough to power a dual ATI 4850graphics card system, we were just experiencing problems with this particular unit".

There is absolutely no way that you will need a 1000 wattage power supply unit to power a system that includes two ATI 4850 graphics cards. It's also worth noting that they were experiencing very similar problems when trying to run a dual Nvidia GTX 280 with exactly the same power supply unit and to simply imply that a 1000 wattage power supply isn't enough to power a dual Nvidia GTX 280 system is again, misleading.

Source - Here :)

lol it always makes mke laugh when people say "I think i'll wait for the Anandtech review". I've seen some truly horrific reviews and articles form his site, and I deem him not even in the same league as Guru3D, Firing Squad etc when it comes to hardware reviews. The guy and his staff often write comnplete and utter rubbish.

Sapphire X4850 spotted (in stock for tomorrow delivery) on a very large e-tailer for £149.99, and smaller e-tailers for £139.99.

That was there yesterday. Its not actually the etailor themselves but someone using it as a marketplace. So not really a proper sign of when theyll start appearing in the UK.

Well here's hoping they go up today.
Citylink enforced the retailers delay to make us pay for Sat delivery :D

Tbh I live near a major competitor so it's all down to price and stock - may get my mits on one today.

Well most etailers today all seem to be saying later today the cards and stock will be up and I guess that includes ocuk as well.

A bit of a git having to pay extra for Saturday delivery though.

Hopefully Gibbo can do a Saturday delivery for normal cost deal again? You liostening Gibbo!!!!
