£400? Seems on the cheap side.

Agreed, I'm expecting AMD too want 600 or more if it beats a 1080 in most things. I want it to be 400 but my Fury pro was 440 so I can't see Vega being anywhere near that seeing as gpu prices have spiked since then.
And the all-in-one cooler.

That's why a lot of us ended up with the cut down Pro version, I wanted an X but after waiting close to 6 months saying no to Maxwell and then when they finally released having another month of faulty water coolers being the only X models available I gave up waiting and bought a Pro..

Yep, even those were being bought when they should have been around the £350 mark, as i bought 2x of the buggers myself as well :D

This is what makes it hard for people, someone spouts some utter utter nonsense, if you don't reply then other people start to believe it, if you reply you get called out for going off topic. There is no winning here when people start making absurd claims because it gets ignored and ends up misleading lots of people. Like the constant Nvidia fanboy diatribe that AMD drivers suck, it gains so much traction it's simply a 'fact' at this stage and almost impossible to argue against to most people because they've simply read it everywhere for so long.

Agreed DM. I for one value your contributions; though tbh, it doesn't take much to make mincemeat (pies!) of that other guy's splenetic rants ;)

I got mine for £450 cos I didn't want to go £500 for the x version. No regrets it still does the job and continues to do so. I might give Vega a skip tbh.

+1 to that. I did exactly the same and got a Sapphire Tri-X which was probably the best of the Fury cards IMHO. It runs great with hardly any noise in all fairness and with my XL2730Z it's as smooth as silk, which is all that matters in reality. Well happy but would consider Vega at the right price and performance. I just can't see myself getting anything north of £500 though as even that is too much for a GFX card. It's only to play games on FFS, it isnt curing cancer or giving us world peace.

:p

Mine's a pretty similar story to nashathedog and ended up with the same card and screen as maonayze. :)

Ended up putting a custom bios on mine, unlocks it to 3840 shaders and have it clocked to 1085/545.

Pretty happy with it but can't wait to see what a Ryzen and Vega setup does once the reviews are out. Need to replace this 3770k that I've had for about 4 years.

The Fury-X was £550 and even they sold what at that price, 2?

People who planned to watercool their FuryX, could do it even cheaper :D

I grabbed a Nano (FuryX core) for £400 from OCUK, watercooled it with a prefilled EK block (£80), installed the official AMD UEFI firmware and overclocked it to 1140/1100.

Job done :D

The Nano is a lil beast, my fav AMD card by a mile. I hope we see something similar with VEGA, the all out beasts and a Nano type with balance of power use, temps etc. Will def pick one up to replace my 1070. Assuming it outperforms it of course xD

Got a feeling these could still be 3-4 months away, so decided to hang onto my GTX 1070 for a while longer.

Also with the RX 480's being £250 / £300, I can't see these higher end cards coming at bargain prices. Might be wiser to keep my card for the long haul until we get pricing on these..

Boom I have a feeling Vega and Zen will be launched together in January.

Noway, both are headline products and there's no way AMD would be stupid enough to lunch both products at the same time which would water down all the coverage they would get.

It will probably go: Zen > Kaby Lake > Vega.
