Whoa, where does this sit vs. the MI25/Vega? I guess more memory at lower bandwidth.

Also, does this mean that MI25/Vega is either a lot slower or faster than the new Pro Duo, otherwise it would essentially be the same market space. Or it means Vega is several months off :/
The Mi25 will be a lot more expensive and much faster for both double precision FP64 and half-precision fp16 floating point math.

Your monitor did not have lfc which obviously did not help with the experience. Freesync 2 hopefully will guarantee at least g-sync level of quality.

First I have heard of driver issues with freesync though. Anyone else having this issue? That would be very annoying if drivers can mess up freesync. If true and it is a widespread problem, then I can definitely see your point.

I read somewhere that they will be raising prices yet again with Volta. Lol. I can see it already, 2070 their upper mid range card will be £400.
Why would it be 2070 and not 1170?

Where were people blaming AMD?
Obviously the level of support each monitor has is down to the monitor company making it so anyone blaming AMD clearly hasn't got a clue what they're talking about.
I saw it here on these and many other forums where plenty of people complained and said AMD should do better. Granted Freesync was new and many didn't understand the spec, how it worked or how AMD was involved. You would think however that it would compel people to do some research instead of just repeating what a random guy has said in frustration and ignorance.

Maybe not. AMD are supposedly dropping the stock blower cooler in favour of a dual fan design. It might still be crap compared to AIB design's but can't be any worse than the blower design. It could also be pretty good.

Well, that's good to know. It has puzzled me why flagship graphics cards are released with such awful coolers. Though I've got a blower on my 290 and it does the job, though I wear headphones for gaming.

I just wish that link had info. re. the 590 or better cards in the pipeline. A moderate improvement over a 380x doesn't really set my pulse racing.

I prefer blower :o Yes I know dual fan is likely cooler but I have better history with blower types and it will be replaced with other designs anyway. Is Vega long enough that it'll get 3 fans

Seems relevant candy for thread, none especially known to me except someone mentioned citizen and that looks great [In March 2017, CIG announced Star Citizen would eventually use Vulkan (API) and drop support for the DirectX 12 API to support Linux and pre-Windows 10 users.[62]]

Spoke to someone running csgo in matches at 4k on all high. He gets roughly 200fps minimum on his 980ti he says.

Vega will be available in both water cooled, and custom cooled, the water cooled, is AMDs limited edition version, which comes in that fancy LED box.
Full RGB of course.

It'll be interesting to see what they do with Vega cooling. The Fury boards were quite short due to not needing the extra VRAM chip space (I assume). I guess an air cooled version without a blower would just need to have a cooler significantly longer than the card.

That is the one I want if it lives up to my expectations price for performance wise. If not will just keep my 1080 which I am happy with until a week or so before 2070 is released :p

That is my hindsight quote. I wish I had had bought a 1080. I wish I had one now!

Vega is just a headache.

Is it just me or do they look remarkably similar to the Nitro OC+ designs of the 480's?

Looks like that was aimed towards the 500-series though? Gotta be a hell of a dual-fan design to cool Vega sufficiently...

And you know exactly how much cooling Vega will require because...?
