AMD are once again DOOMED xD :D Vega cards are for professionals not gamers and HBM is a complete failure. Lets all just jump on nvidia and screw AMD. Who needs them anyways. ;)

Agreed. AMD are for losers. All the cool people buy Nvidia. I would not be caught dead using an AMD product... Wish they would go bankrupt already. I can't stand their marketing! :p

Yeah I laughed so hard to read RTG will bundled Quake Champions with Vega. Not very impressed with terrible very old dated Quake 3 Arena type graphics after played beta. :o

Nvidia did very good job decided to bundled Paragon with GTX 1060 cards in recently promotion.

I played Paragon open beta, wow it has very stunning photorealism graphics and very fun to play than very boring Quake Champions.

Its a shame a modern Quake game never became a modern gritty fast style shooter like Quake 3. Something like Space Hulk.

I always pictured Quake levels today looking something like that...

I see the usual suspects of the amd doom and gloom police force is active.. Always nice to hear the same **** repeated over and over and over for years on end.

The environmental art in Deathwing was amazing; especially in the Chapel areas.
Would have been perfect for a Quake Arena map!

End of June release date? ah so far away..I've been waiting since January to buy a GPU.

Hopefully it'll be somewhat comparable to a 1080Ti. But then if Volta comes out early 2018 that would only mean 6 months usage..which would be quite costly.

What to do..

6 months usage? do you expect the card to stop functioning after that? :) Im sure it will give you satisfactory results even after a 6 months period if you end up buying one.

The last GPU I had was a 980Ti which was enough for me so if Vega is close to a 1080Ti for around £500 that would be great. I guess 6 months usage just because of the want for a next generation GPU :p

Lol, written in the slant of 'AMD made this' and 'Nvidia, they made that one', when the vendors didn't actually have much input in either.

While I agree Quake looks nothing it's been brought up to date, Q3 Arena it certainly isn't, it's Quake, you don't stand about looking at anything it's a turbo charged nutter Quake game which is nothing like Paragon.

Overwatch is where it's at, it kicks lumps out of both of them imo.;)

People that play Paragon = 1
People that play Quake Champions = Millions.

Its an easy call for AMD and to be fair to AMD they generally partner up with the right games.

Nvidia's track record on the games that they get involved with is awful.

So everything seen so far has been "Radeon RX Vega". Not Vega Nano, Vega or Vega X.
Vega 10 is supposed to be a mostly known spec with Vega 11 as TBA from "leaks", but there would need to be some way to differentiate these models at least but no hint has surfaced.

I don't think they will need to differentiate them as I suspect Vega 11 won't be released this year. This year it'll be Vega 10, the RX Vega and RX580 etc Polaris lineup. Next year Vega 11 will likely arrive as the RX680 etc. That's what I would do anyway.

Paragon also ran like rubbish in my old Fury X, it was getting similar performance a my friend's GTX 980 in that game.
Then again, the engine was designed from the ground up to take advantage of NVIDIA gameworks.

As Tim Sweeney of Epic states
"Epic developed Unreal Engine 4 on NVIDIA hardware, and it looks and runs best on GeForce."

Paragon is made by Epic who have a very close relationship with Nvidia and id Software is owned by Bethesda who has released games sometimes favouring AMD and other times favouring Nvidia. I mean even Doom was used by both AMD and Nvidia to show off cards,so the choice of games they are bundling with their cards is not surprising.

Edit!!

Also Overwatch and TF2 are the two main games in the genre, and everybody is trying to release similar products now.

1+

Its not hard to see that the title AMD has worked on are known for some of the best optimised games on PC, while title Nvidia has worked on are known for some of the worst optimised/buggy games on PC..

If its got AMD on the box you know dam well this game will run good for all types of hardware
if its got Nvidia on the box you know dam well this game might have issues

The backlog of games is there to back me up on this one.
