So basically some chart someone created. Nothing like a submitted 3dmark score.

Going back to that wccftech article btw, those benchmarks still predate actual release and so are leaked.

Actually no... read them...

The early performance results from the Polaris 10 GPU a rumored to be around 4000 points in 3DMark FireStrike Ultra benchmark, which is pretty much what you get from both the Geforce GTX 980 Ti and Radeon Fury X in the same benchmark.

The RX 480 doesn't score anything like that.

Same guys making up the same crap, again.

No link to a submission which has then proven to be fake.

Worse still it is just a sentence on a website.

RX Vega will score 10,000 on Time Spy.

I suppose my word is equivalent to the evidence posted above?

I never said fake information does not exist. This has actual evidence going for it.

It was never outright stated but their PR was all about bringing VR capable gpu's to the masses for which the 290/390 was the benchmark.

Not just a websit, the same websites making these new claims. they are the same results as a an OC Fury-X, what makes you so sure these are real and not, well, a Fury-X? 3DMark can easily be used to make any GPU looks like anyother, it was done by the same Chinese account in the past.
Then as now 3DMark has not verified them as a real card.

Ok I think comprehension is an issue. I don't give a crap about what the websites themselves say. I care about their sources of information. The source of information here is on a completely different level to what you have shown for the rx 490x (or whatever) vs 980ti rumour. The source on the latter is just another website making a bold claim.

Here we have a time spy benchmark submitted which is standing up to scrutiny in terms of indentification of the card.

Those links were all removed from Futuremark a year ago since they were fake/falsified submissions. What we have left are reddit/news/forums posts linking to some sites that still have their graphs left up.

All of which has been proven to be fake; there were weeks of this rubbish and Fire Strike score being flung around.

These were apparently run at 1080Mhz

Heck they even claimed through Fire Strike Ultra that the RX 480 could clock to 1607Mhz.

Yup ^^^^ same account thats now publishing these fake 3DMark results, that did originally come with links to the results but they are now deleted.

All you have is what those websites tell you, this isn't any different, they are claiming now as they did then to have Vega GPU 3DMark results, the 3DMark result its self looks like an unverified Fury-X but they say its a Vega GPU, and you believe them.

The thing is, i believed the fake Polaris claims by the same people.... these guys are fakers.

I don't have an RX 480, i didn't pre-order, lucky i didn't have the money at the time, now i have a GTX 1070!

There are some guys around here who might like to try and convince you i'm an AMD fanboy......

I thought they had problems with Polaris ?, as when it got released, it was terrible on power to what they had been showing, and saying all those months beforehand, and the performance was nowhere near as touted either, as it was supposed to be inbetween the 390X and the FuryX (although i cant remember if it was actually AMD who said that).

No self respecting NVIDIA user would use that red theme for afterburner. Clearly fake.

A real NVIDIA GPU user would colour coordinate their system, even their OSD software.

It gets worse, the GPU is black and silver (MSI Quick Silver) it has 3 RGB LED's on it, MSI Shield on the Backplate which i have set to Pink, and MSI Dragon logo on the top which i have set to gold and LED's around the fans are white.
Contrast that against red tracers on my Motherboard with red VRM Heat Sinks and 4 red Memory Modules, all wrapped up in a full windowed Phanteks case.... lovely :O

That is a nice setup tho, i do like that, yours?

I thought they had problems with Polaris, as didn't they show it off nearly a year before release, against some Nvidia card, where it was using way less power than it ?, but on release, it was using about the same/if not more than the 1080.

That was Polaris 11 shown, and the clocks and power for performance is accurate. Polaris main issue was once you upped the clock speed, the powerdraw would increase significantly by contrast.
Seems more clear now that Polaris is mostly a mobile chip.

Heck, AMD has been supplying Apple with fully unlocked P11 chips aka the 560 for over a year. The Radeon Pro 460 is what Apple got, fully unlocked, and has a lower TDP than the desktop version. It runs at 35W, compared to 75W for the discrete GPU.

Sadly no, just googled NVIDIA PC :p

Mine before I sold the other GTX 980Ti, and changed chassis, and cooler. All the colours!

What looks like now. Never touching an AIO CPU cooler or "Silent" NZXT chassis again.

Gotta say, I really miss my Fury X. It looked great in my system, and was great with FreeSync.

TPU claiming RX 480 is as fast as 980TI, was fake... https://www.techpowerup.com/222007/amd-polaris-10-ellesmere-as-fast-as-gtx-980-ti-rumor

Fudzela http://www.fudzilla.com/news/graphics/40537-amd-polaris-10-gpu-performance-close-to-gtx-980-ti

Guru3D also making the same claim for sub $300.... http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/am...ffer-near-980-ti-performance-for-299-usd.html

That was 5 minutes googling, As we now know... All fake ^^^^

This latest one is even more obvious as it matches an OC Fury-X exactly.
Humbug, I am sure I don't need to remind you about getting your hopes up, as prior to the 480 launching, it was you who was getting everyone excited by citing a 980Ti beater with clocks of 1800Mhz (guessing) and then when it released, you was all deflated. I suggest keeping your feet firmly planted on the ground and whilst it may well be a false Vega bit, it might also be baby Vega (like I stated earlier) and not the full chip.

Issue with the NZXt chassis is that it was a real hot box, and despite all the sound proof padding was really loud; then again that was mostly the Corsair AIO fans. :P

Yeah, I will never forget that. He was so upset he started lashing out at people. lol

IMO if that sample is real, then it is not full fat Vega. If full fat big Vega cannot at the very least beat 1080, it would be super disappointing. I still think it will match 1080Ti at worst personally :)
