Must be why their forums were nearly on fire when the 980Ti launched and had non-stop issues for months. Especially in regards to Adobe software.

Had more crashes and lockups in those 4 months than I ever had in all my years of buying GPUs since the Creative 3D Blaster.

Personally I can't wait to decent AMD GPU again, especially since I'm transitioning over to DaVinci Resolve from Adobe PP.

It's 1PM Pacific, which should be 9PM our time. Link for you.

Remember when i got my 980ti I had nothing but issues with stuttering and vsync not behaving as it should for around the first 4+ months then it got a lot better. If anyone thinks they getting a more reliable product going green than red I would argue they are kidding themselves(this is only in reference to the consumer market and not the prosumer).

From reddit regarding this Financial broadcast:

On consumer Ryzen: "Ryzen is performing very well"
On consumer Vega: "We are set to launch consumer Vega before Q3, it will be very competitive"
On datacenter Vega: "MI25, based on Vega, will be very competitive/used in datacenters"
On datacenter Ryzen: "We will be launching Ryzen in the datacenter in H2 of 2017, it will be very competitive"
On financials: "Overall PC market is down, but we expect Ryzen and Vega to perform well"

:D

Far more people use nvidia so it is only natural to see more people on the forums complaining about nvidia, however with nvidia you have far lower chances to encounter a problem.

had around 10 nvidia gpus in the pass without any issues
had 3 AMD gpus 2 of them had issues with black screens
I don't think that this is a coincidence...

I've far more than 10 NV GPUs, and far more issues compared to the AMD ones I've had.
I've also never had a black screen on and AMD card, whereas I have on NVIDIA.

Neither are perfect, and issue free; neither for hardware, nor drivers and software.

I've been using AMD GPUs since the 9700, and I've never had black screen issues. I'm not saying the problems don't exist, but it's certainly not something that everyone experiences.

Very much this, I've had many many GPU's from both AMD and nVidia, and they've both had hit and miss cards, and hit and miss drivers.

Can't say i've ever had the black screen issue you describe however.

Unfortunately this is what AMD is having to fight. When you see ridiculous comments like this you now see why NV out sell AMD even when AMD has the better card.

Please know that 99% of the time these calls will give quotes along the lines of:

Vega is on schedule for a Q2 release. It will be competitive.

Just to set expectations near where they should be...

No cheap GPU's in the future, They want top end GPU's with 40%+ margin. Nvidias margins must be absolutely huge as there dies are always so small!

No they didn't say that at all, they are looking for a 40-44% margin for the whole business with an EPS of $0.75 :)

You know what, I really wish kylew_wasnt_back. ;)
I am pretty sure you wouldn't say that if you had experiencing black screens yourself

The thing is that I cannot even RMA my 390 because black screens are unpredictable with no patterns and hard to impossible to replicate, same thing happened with my HD 7950, send it for RMA and they return it back saying that the gpu is working ok, although my new r9 280(that I bought to replace my 7950) work perfecly in the same system.
