6) Many argue that vega is just a refined polaris gpu, how would you respond to this ?

My software team wishes this was true:)

Vega is both a new GPU architecture and also completely new SOC architecture. It's our first InfinityFabric GPU as well

There might be a 16GB variant of Radeon RX Vega..
The Chief of RTG also said that they will look into 16GB variant of Radeon RX Vega.

wickedplayer494: Can we pretty please get a 16 GB variant of Radeon RX Vega?

RK: We will definitely look at that…

gfxchiptweeter [score hidden] just now

One thing for certain is that Vega Instinct is well positioned to deliver dramatically better performance per dollar;, and TCO(total-cost-of-system ownership) is probably the most important metric to our machine learning and hyperscale customers and combined with Epic/Naples - Vega is extremely attractive..

You want a joke:)

Vega needs some extra Volta(ge) for overclocking:)

We're *finally* getting a few tidbits from AMD!! Thank God for that!!! Realllllllllly looking forward to Vega now, 8GB will be fine for my res for a long long time
Umm *looking at GTX 1080 Ti in JediFragger's sig* - why would you want something that is likely going to be a bit slower in most games and use more power?

2 reasons - Potentially higher minimum framerates to make gaming generally a better experience, and the LG is a Freesync monitor :D

I got the Ti as I cba to wait any more for some serious graphical power

That's exactly what they're doing.

It looked like it too me but then he said the RX versions would be better optimized for gaming which seems a bit weird if they are the exact same chip, Does he mean the FE uses a slightly different Pro driver, Which in turn makes me wonder, if you use it with the RX driver is it then no different to the RX versions apart from the memory size?

I'd just like to know in what month we can get our hands on RX Vega.
