Have you even read the link beyond the title? Of the 4 bullet points, 3 are about reducing the cost or having an affordable and accessible card that can do VR for everyone.

it screams "mainstream", And thats what it did.

At no point did AMD say this was only for VR.

Did you even read the link you posted?

And, yes they did. From the very start when they had their first event talking about Polaris.

Yes, and it is for VR, anyone buying a 480, should also be buying a Rift/Vive as well, to go with it.

You know what Kaap i agree. At least im not wading through loads of nonsense posts looking for news.

Looking back through this thread, the last few posts of yours have just been whinging about Nvidia posts, which ironically does nothing to add to the threads topic (like this one also) :p

Just chill brother and I am sure there will be some solid news soon. I do love a good speculation thread but we don't actually have anything of note to discuss and this invariably ends up as a dead archived thread or off topic :)

If you close the thread you end up with dallie new threads of people asking about vega and 490's,, best its all in here imo even if some of it is rubbish

**A couple are pushing it in this thread, Anymore calling people fanboys or just been rude or derogatory is going to end in people having rights for this subsection removed. It is getting tiresome**

I've found this place is more a place for well-off consumers rather than real tech enthusiasts.

As a well off consumer, I resent that ;)

Joking aside, I dont know about others, but the GPU market is causing me such frustration. All first world problems of course. Invested in a 295x2 a year and a bit ago and expected it to last for a good few years. Crossfire has gone from being wonderful to adhoc at best.

To find a replacement for the 295x2 is proving to be a difficult decision. Single card needed, performance in excess of the 295 hoped for and yet we still wait.

The split of the Gsync and Freesync is like the bluray vs hd-dvd of a few years ago. Daren't commit to one just in case. I can see myself going Nvidia and gsync only to find that AMD release a killer card where I can use a freesync monitor for less money.

Oh well, until the GPU and monitor market finds its feet I can go on faux resenting being labeled as a non-tech digester of mis-information from the interwebs :)
