13900k drops 20th October, so just a matter of days for reviews to drop.Right ok, so its a guess then, maybe an educated guess and i am not saying you are wrong here but there isn't really anything concrete to confirm the performance.
I had read, and i can't remember where i read it so that that for what it is, but 13th gen wasn't going to have a significant IPC improvement over 12th gen but they were going to have more e cores. Now if what i read was remotely true, then apart from increased clock speeds, the difference between 7000 series and 13th gen may not be what we might expect of a new generation. If you also consider that there are likely to be performance gains to be squeezed out of 7000 series as BIOS matures but the same might not be true of 13th gen if is essentially just 12th gen with extra E cores and increased clock speeds.
On balance of probability, you are likely right and intel will edge into the lead until the 3d v-cache chips arrive, but given the cost of 7000 series already, i dread to think what AMD is going to charge for the new chips.
