holy miss the point batman
The point being that you would have spat venom and vitriol no matter how AMD handled their release.
You know, even if I were to empathise with you and agree that AMD are milking their cards (and they are, but that's their prerogative) then you would still come back with another complaint.
All that hate doesn't do you any good man. I suggest you wrap up nice and warm, go outside and go for a walk and take a few deep breaths.
IMO (and I am an extremely critical person) the only thing AMD got wrong this time around was not having a broader range of parts available at launch.
IE - a card for all. Where is the 5770? where is the 5830?
There aren't any, so those who wanted a nice cheap (yet 28nm new) card can't have one yet and they're frustrated.
I've no doubt Kepler will be faster, none at all. And I am sure AMD knew that too, hence the rush to get the cards out the door and rake back some cash before they are forced to drop prices.
It's not often AMD have their hour in the sun, so I'm taking nothing away from them at all. It's exactly what Nvidia did with the 500 series after licking their 400 series wounds.
Your attitude is insipid and it gets tiring after a while.
