i'm back and up and running the 3900x is a monster cpu no other word for it ran cinebench r20 and hit 7354 points, i noticed my cpu max speed is around 4.25ghz and i can hit that on all 12 cores thanks to pbo under watercooling as well the max temp i've seen is 67 degrees so far.
(to be clear i havent done any manual overclcoking just yet)
just fired up a few games and compared to my oc 7900x the 3900x from amd seems to deliver smoother frame rates and the average is around 5-10fps more in most case i tested so far compared to my old x299 build, the crosshair viii formula is a beutiful motherboard and when it's added into the loop it looks so nice, well worth the £599 it commands

I’ve just come of the phone with AMD who have done some investigating and though it’s unknown as to why the following is expected to now be with us tomorrow:
300x 3700X which covers all pre orders and leaves some spare.
90x 3800X which again covers all pre orders and leaves some spare
Then on Friday we shall get:
100x 3700X
90x 3800X
I’ve also asked for an update on more 3900X so will update as I find out and don’t call OcUK as it is me who knows the facts and I post them on here as I find out so you hear it from the horses mouth as to speak.

I don't know if is strictly mentioning competitors, but on the AMD website the 3900x is listed as £398.78 and is in stock and ready to buy. Surely a mistake?
8pack does so much testing, especially to get optimal performance and stability for systems they sell.
Would be great if they published their results also, especially with how no nonsense 8Pack can be.

A quick glimpse i have seen theres bios issue for the msis X470 and b450s is this true ? I was gonna try and save my self £100 and buy last years motherboard but seems to be issue with the bios being to small ??

Yes but strictly not for resale, they are called MPK and we stock them but are for system integration only and AMD do not allow them to be sold online to end users as they come in multi pack.

Since Ryzen launched MSI have turned out to have quite a few issues.

I think the issue might be that you need a gen 2 AMD CPU in a mobo to flash to the latest BIOS, then Gen 3/Zen2 will work.
Did you buy it somewhere in person or was it delivered to you? Quite impressive that some other retailer managed to get stock before ocuk

These MSI issues are scaring me. I bought x570 Pro Carbon for my 3700x.
I've had z77 Sabertooth from ASUS and it was a fantastic board that served me well over the last 7 years. Maybe I should stick with ASUS? Is Strix-F a good board, just £10 compared to Pro Carbon. Hard to make a good decision since reviews for motherboards are slow to come out.
