AMD Zen 2 (Ryzen 3000) - *** NO COMPETITOR HINTING ***

Okay take it back, not much difference. I think I have to come to terms that the 3700x isn't going to improve and 4.4 is never going to arrive. Here is hoping the 4 series helps.

Thing is, the 3700x is a beast of a chip really, the power this provides I think it'll power through games and those 8 cores won't be getting saturated for some time.

That Mobo doesn't have the best VRM's and only 4 power phases. So bar a few Mhz performance wise you wouldn't notice the difference in gaming etc. As you say, still a beast of a chip.

I hit 4.4 on nearly every core of my 3700X on my X570 Taichi with ABBA but I suspect it's pretty much only at idle, very briefly and largely useless in real world use.

Specification for the 3900 found:

12/24, 3.1/4.3GHz, 70MB cache, 40 PCIe lanes, 65W https://wccftech.com/amd-ryzen-9-3900-cpu-specs-leaked-12-cores-24-threads-at-65w/

Lol. Got an A320 coming and was concerned it might not handle my R5 1600. Thanks for the assurance.

LOL, 3900X run on A320 board and boosts at 4.6Ghz also.

The A320 boards do support the entire lineup of 3000 series. Why are you surprised? :D
