AMD Zen 2 (Ryzen 3000) - *** NO COMPETITOR HINTING ***

Radeon 7 (vega II). 7nm. 60 compute units. 25% performance per watt improvement. 16GB @ 1TB/sec.
the 25% seems to translate directly to FPS too (dx12, fortnite, vulkan all at least 25% increase).
25% on top 1080 performance of vega 64.... 1080ti+

Yup, no huge improvement but... if that's cheap... so, anything south of a 2080ti is AMD's win... that's big enough :) (depends on price).

If its matching or beating a 2080, pricing will be key. Concerned that 16GB HBM will make it too expensive though.

If they manage to bring it a price where its cheaper than RTX however, it may be interesting. We need more benchmarks too.

They dont need to beat them if the price performance is there, because Nvidia doesnt have anything new right now either, 2080/2080ti have only just come out.

16GB HBM though makes me think that unless they've found some way to improve price economics, they are still going to find things tough until Navi.

That said, it puts them in a better position than before with Vega 64.
