Now we have to wait to see what sort of headroom the CPU's have in them if any at all, I'd hope they are not like the current 12nm chips that are already at the bleeding edge of falling over.

Well so far we know this.

15% uplift in IPC.

3700X is 8c/16t (65w) @ $329 and will be faster than the 9700K in games*
3800X is 8c/16t @$399 and is faster than the 9900K at everything*
3900X is 12c/24t (105w) 3.8GHz base, with 4.6Ghz boost @ $499 and is 16% faster than a 9920X in Blender, and maybe games*

To you door date is 8th July, and order date live date it 7/7. It seems that there may be ordering available from the second week of June after E3.

*I don't care about games, sorry I didn't manage to see the details of the titles used but one of them was PUBG, and showing the AMD faster than Intel.
