AMD Zen 2 (Ryzen 3000) - *** NO COMPETITOR HINTING ***

There is no reason to go for 9900k. Even with a price cut. The 3900x is like 45 to 60% faster in multicore. Single core is loses or wins. And waiting 1 or 2 month the 3900x will also receive a price cut

Happy hunting.

20 to 30% performance gain but a far bigger price increase.

To be expected though, since everything else that’s launched in the last two years has come at extra cost for extra performance

3600 same price as 2600
3600X same price as 2600X
3700X same price as 2700X

3600 same price as 2600
3600X same price as 2600X
3700X same price as 2700X

i think grim is more pointing towards the added x570 price increase becouse ofc all amd 3000 series cpu need x570 People have been blinded by intel new cpu = must have new mobo tactic to make us spend more money:)

These numbers only apply is you are considering the cost of the CPU in a vacuum. If you consider the total system cost, spending an additional £80 on a £1000 system for 30% performance increase seems be incredible value.

Even the 3600 will stomp the 2700x, only falling behind in heavy multicore workloads. It costs a lot less money, and uses way less power.

This is where the intel CPU gets really put to shame, as you are investing a huge amount of cash for a few extra frames, then getting stomped in multi core loads.

so everyone's a sucker who bought intel because it was 10% faster in games confirmed by you.
Value for money has no concern for mere brands so this has nothing to do with such distractions which only help to take your eye off what's really going on.
I was referring more to what good value the Zen+ chips are now compared to everything else.
It didn't cross my mind that Intel are even worth considering.

We haven’t had motherboard prices yet.

We do over here (downunder) already and it's extremely expensive

To give you an example (prices not in USD)

ASUS x470 Strix-f - current $349
ASUS x570 Strix-f - pre order $750

More than double on the same model between generations

Ryzen 2700x - current $450
Ryzen 3700x - pre order $650

And the actual 2700x replacement is the 3800x

Ryzen 3800x - pre order $750

2700x + asus strix-f x470 = $800
3700x + asus strix-f x570 = $1400
3800x + asus strix-f x570 = $1500
