Two words sum up the failure that was the Fury X event.
"overclockers dream"
RyZen sounds like a deadly undetectable poison to me...
I was making a joke before, but I really do reckon it will be spoken "risen", as it marks AMD's return from the dead (or deathly irrelevance, in any case)

Ah twitch link excellent.
It looks like we didn't need to sign up for the stream, like we assumed we did earlier in the thread. (same link that Pants just reposted)
Wonder how much it'll cost to go to Zen from my 4770k
I don't want an equivalent, I want better than.
I want either the 6 or 8 core.
I'd be surprised if the 6 was any less than 300, if it is, then depending on performance, that's great.
Problem with Zens launch will be the pound, and the 5820s launch price. At least for me.
It's unrealistic for me to expect a better chip than the 5820 if Zen is priced at the 5820's launch price, because the pound's crapped itself since then thanks to Brexit.
In the US there will be no problem though.
I have no idea how anyone can even contemplate buying mainstream i5K's at the moment in the UK. OCUK's asking price is loltastic, and the i7 price just makes me weep.
