Pretty low blow for a Don?

Pretty bold claims you had been coming out with? Fact is you don't have any exclusive deal with the company in your email (yes I've seen it), I'm not sure what your relationship is, but you will be waiting until launch to know how it performs like the rest of us.

You can make up your own fiction about an alleged chipset, sure.

What is alleged about the chipset? It's been announced - whether there are products on day 1 is a different matter. Maybe AMD haven't taken it seriously, or maybe ITX is enough of a niche that manufacturers have fed back to AMD with figures and they aren't worried about it day 1. Maybe it isn't ready? I don't know, and neither do you - maybe people under NDA do, but it doesn't help as they can't tell us.

Ref Press release mentioning it:

ECC isnt needed for consumer products, it would be a mistake

Why is it a mistake to offer it?
Essentially it costs the consumer nothing extra on motherboards, just a Processor with it enabled. If there is a "Pro" version with ECC it will be great for the DIY Nas crowd (however niche that may be in the scheme of things), and allows HP etc to offer AMD Professional Workstations.

The way I look at it is this...

All computing is supposed to get more robust over time, not stagnate at a given level forever.

ECC is not some fringe exotic stuff. It's very pedestrian technology at this point.

For some reason I imagine the Tzar of Data Corruption as someone looking halfway between The Riddler and Max Headroom.

That is me to a tee

If its no extra cost then sure I may allow it maybe

AMD and Nvidia are both getting a lot of interest for their business and innovation at the moment

It's alleged in the sense you think that's why there's no boards at launch...it isn't. As per what I've said, and the link I provided you.

The reasoning I've given is sound, and "whether they're available on day one" is the very thing we were talking about, so I think you are a little lost.

Vendors generally don't jump on SFF when new platforms hit. It's really not that difficult to understand...

I corrected CAT because he was blaming AMD for the lack of availability. It has nothing to do with any relationship I may have with 3rd parties.

Lol love the swagger "im getting exclusive Ryzen freebie chips, peasants" followed by "after release" followed by an admission there is no exclusive deal with anyone.

Much like the rest of us you will be getting Ryzen after launch, sure you may not be paying for it, who cares tbh, just saves you more of your "dollar" you love to tell everyone about haha.

Fact is, you know no more than anyone else on these forums, except what you hear elsewhere, you have not had a Ryzen chip yourself so you know ZERO except 2ndhand info, so give it a rest with the big i am attitude, your boring and sad.

ECC should be the de-facto standard in 2017. It's a mistake to keep using non-ECC RAM for *anything*.

There is no performance impact to speak of, in the real world. So there's no reason *not* to use ECC.

This is 2017. We have error checking just about everywhere, from network transmission to non-volatile storage, but RAM should be different? Why?

My taiwanese source just emailed to say that 8C-16T, ECC-supporting 4GHz Ryzen is going to cost less than a baseball cap from the Intel souvenir shop.

I don't appreciate constantly being called out all the time, so;

The supposed mod keeps bringing up my affiliation email as if I gave away any information, I didn't. It was one email simply supporting what I was being called out for lying for, which is I was getting sampled.

Both yours and the other dinosaurs on here's reason for gang prodding me is born out of a lack of understanding of how the industry works. If you don't like the home truths, I suggest you do what I did, learn more; and then maybe the industry will take notice of you a little more as well...

I'd appreciate it if you didn't bring it up again unless you've got a genuine question, thanks.

That's the most unqualified 'get gud' I've ever seen. No-one is buying the steaming **** you are selling.

Lol.... you need help mate, counselling, before your ego gets bigger than your chip on your shoulder.

My point still stands though, your getting a "free" Ryzen Chip AFTER they release, when many many many members of these forums will probably have them, sorry to burst your bubble but your really not the special little flower you think you are :(

The only thing your getting is something for free, thats it, zip, period, done. But its hilarious you go around acting like you have some special secret sauce membership of some covert overclockers club that hands out free chips before they are even fabbed.

Again, you know nothing first hand of these chips, probably even the motherboards at this point of time, look back at your post history in this thread and the amount of times you come out with stuff like "it wont clock higher than 4ghz" and "it wont reach ram speeds higher than 2400mhz" kinda guff.

Just admit it, you know nothing, you probably got lucky through a friend of a friend and managed to backdoor a chip from some place, if you was anyone or anything of importance you would have a chip for reviewing etc, you dont, face it dude, your a nobody.

Intel in panic mode? funny how they can wheel a +15% Improvement in one move when they have been dishing out marginal improvements for generations... That pretty much says all you need to know about Intel, were happy to rinse your wallet for minimal upgrades while we have no competition.. oh wait competition, heres a decent performance boost, but its gunna cost yah!

funny this leaks now as well, even though im inclined to say its probably 1000% rubbish as its from WTFtech, but funny it leaks when the Ryzen info is coming thick and fast, conspiracy theorists would say is a knee jerk well placed leak to put doubt in potential AMD customers minds...

Problem is, i bet a lot of people will look at this if theres any truth in it and ask why they couldnt bring those improvement earlier on Skylake / Kabylake? oh wait maybe they only found this extra performance once Kabylake was released, yeah that'll be it.
