*** AMD "Zen" thread (inc AM4/APU discussion) ***

I am afraid we have no plans to list G.Skill, they are unwilling to meet my demands and as it stands we have enough memory brands with Avexir, Crucial, Corsair, Geil, Kingston, TeamGroup etc. we really need no more as end of the day its all the same anyway.

Fair enough, does Avexir have any plans to do more of that Raiden stuff? its soooo nice looking :) Also i noticed the Teamgroup offerings are pretty slim, same with Geil too, however theres plenty of Avexir and Corsair options, are the other brands just not as competitive currently?

I don't really see the point of dual M.2 on a board that has a proper U.2 connector anyway. Hell it has enough PCI-E slots to use SLI/CF plus a PCI-E NVMe drive. Who the hell needs support for four NVMe drives? and why don't they simply go for capacity over quantity.

The top Gigabyte board has support for eight SATA-3 drives in addition to it's NVMe support, how many drives do they think people wanna connect? lol.

sorry you on about the 5 or 7.... oooops :D

TeamGroup is probably our no.1 seller, the SKU's might be few but they are all huge run-rate lines and the sweet spots are 2400MHz and 3000MHz kits. :)

Kingston and Corsair are our next two biggest.

Avexir has a lot of lines but they are small numbers, GeIL is just the RGB stuff.

OcUK is the ONLY AMD Super-Alpha on-line reseller in the UK, that means we have priority allocation over anyone else, which means we get stock first and the majority off it, we shall also be hitting the AMD MSRP's, there shall be no milking it as to speak and we shall be giving FREE NEXT DAY DELIVERY ON THE BASKET. Absolutely no reason to buy elsewhere. :)
I was planning on waiting for Vega and buy everything in one go but maybe not...

Are you able to make a RAM recommendation please Gibbo? I want to buy all together from yourselves but don't want to buy 3200 if a lesser speed is more than adequate

Thanks

Would go with the 3200mhz or higher stuff, ideally as low a CAS rating as possible, from the stuff OCUK has i would probably just go with the Teamgroup stuff if you want the cheapest option.

They hand bin conservatively, the end result is in the buyers favour, but they don't produce any kind of quantity that makes it worth while for UK stockists, even the few that do are on order on request.

Most of GSKILL's hand-offs get given to Corsair, so just buy those instead :p
Okay, thanks!

I just googled what Google classes as supper time. :D
Just narrowed it down for you thats all

and with that, i'll see you on the forum at that time hahah

I wont be on here at 8pm.

"In some northern British and some Australian homes, as in New Zealand and Ireland, "tea" is used for the evening meal. In parts of the United Kingdom, supper is a term for a snack eaten after the evening meal and before bed, usually consisting of a warm, milky drink and British biscuits or cereal, but can include sandwiches."

You need to remember where OCUK is based. Up here its Breakfast, Dinner, Tea and Supper. So Tea time is about 5pm.
