Hmmm very interesting peformance but I noticed something wrong with 1700X GTA V fps is lower than 1700, it probably another typo.

Look like 1800X OC will have no problem smash 7700K in every games benchmarks. :D

If validated, they are astounding scores and the hype has been very much justified.

I've ordered a 1800x, GSkill RGB 3600Mhz CL14, a Asus Crosshair Motherboard, and a H110i. Hoping everything arrives before the weekend, and hoping the transition from X99 to X370 goes smoothly.

I've taken some benchmarks of my 5960x @3.5Ghz stock clocks and overclocked to 4Ghz with 3200Mhz CL15 memory for comparison with the 1800x. Will share my results here when time permits.

You mean the 5960x you ran at 4.8? :p

Yes for short benching runs, could never run it for more than a few minutes though with stability. Those scores are on record in the Firestrike thread, so will try to beat those as well.

EDIT

Nice touch donating your X99 system for a raffle, hopefully i can help expedite that process on the weekend.

omg i got a delayed dispatch notice on the crosshair a minute ago haha... glad i actually read it. Was just a dispatch update delay from the 22nd but is now dispatching on the 2nd... toys almost thrown out of the pram :)

Looking forward to seeing the results.

if you look at those benchmarks for games the 1700x is actually slower than a 6800k across the games and priced at 389 quid. so 5820k ocd is quicker also across the gaming platform aswell. in some games by quite a bit.:D ahh the bargin chips

My new case and RAM should arrive today, just waiting to see when OcUK will get in my 1700X and Asrock Taichi, at this point I'm guessing it'll be next week though. Haven't built a new machine for 6 years, going to be fun setting it up and tweaking it :D

Tfw going for the 6800k works out to have been the best choice.
