*** AMD "Zen" thread (inc AM4/APU discussion) ***

Okay, those are great temps! I really think the high end Noctua coolers are excellent value for money. My friend has an EK predator 240 and temps are not that much better, the Noctua is quieter and much less expensive too with great build quality.

They really after fantastic, and with Noctua sending out free AM4 kits for owners I honestly see little reason to bother with an AIO again. I'm also running it with the single stock fan; and I did buy a second one as well. It ended up making a 1 degree difference at 100% loads, so I just boxed it again to keep as a spare.

Get a nice chassis window that's tinted and you don't get that striking beige fan staring you in the face as well. It looks more grey then :)

ye noctua are great
they not cheap but their fans do seem to last
i saw they already have am4 mounting which is nice

It's not hard to find almost any review that finds the Noctua D15 come top in group tests, even against most AIOs. I don't know why people fall for the 'liquid cooling' marketing nonsense of AIOs over and over... D15 will trump them all for performance and certainly value. I totally get the AIO argument from an aesthetic point of view (especially vs Noctua) or if you have extremely high profile RAM or no height clearance in the case. Otherwise, it's quite amusing reading comments that have owners of AIOs questioning why they don't have amazing near record breaking temps. Do your research lol!!

what is hot for a ryzen cpu?
i mean like safe temps, any idea
