Americas Army 3 - free game - pre-load now on Steam

Is 40/40 good enough for you? :p

Those are the practise shots, it won't move on to the actual test.

I had that. I then tried disabling that force AA option and then after that I got the do you want to qualify option.

I've got to the medic training now. First time I sat and watched the video, listened to all that rubbish you have to listen to, did the qualifying test and I thought I passed with flying colours. Well that's sort of true. The summary screen said I got all the answers right but I still failed qualifying. I tried doing it again and I don't think there is a way to skip that video so I just gave up!

America's Army has been the one game that has never left my hard drive since I came across it about 6 months - year after its July 4th, 2002 release.

This will be epic I only hope that they will have the same in-game voice comms as Project Reality since its not going to be as hectic as previous version due to the map size being an order of magnitude larger.

How do you reserve your name?

No, you've created an AA2 account. You'll have to create another account on release. You can reserve a username with the pre-register though: http://login.americasarmy.com/aa3_account_preregister

Fantastic game for a freebie,
I'd agree with that up until the point where freebie is mentioned as it could be interpreted as making it inferior to paid for games.

Have u seen making of AA3 video? I watched it as I was using the AA deploy client to redownload AA2 after a reinstall. They have real live special forces soldiers telling them if its authentic or not and also have captured their movements to turn into the game's animations. They have gone out to firing ranges to get the real sounds of bullets and reloading.

What I'm saying is its a fantastic game full stop with no expense spared and will put a lot of paid for games to shame. Its constantly updated rather like paid for MMOs but without the subscription fee.

Its full of total epic win with no downsides, unless ofcourse if by playing this game you will be compelled to join the army. I can't think of a better way of drilling it home to people that real war is not fun. With a fragrate of 1.59 in game I would be saying my prayers after I shot an enemy, that's assuming that I don't go out for a duck, since there is no respawn in the next round in real life.
