An Elder Scrolls: Oblivion thead

The quote is from the internetwebz AI so it must be true! :D

Problem with the game is one person might be able to leave stuff somewhere the whole game and it never disappears, someone else might have it disappear the moment their back is turned. You can do certain tests with renamed items in containers but even that isn't foolproof. The only place that bugs aside should be certain is player owned houses.

You can do the Knights of the White Stallion quest fairly early on to get access to White Stallion Lodge and the open corn sack things in there "should" be safe but stuff left in other containers or on the ground in there might randomly be picked up by Mazoga though apparently if you don't talk to her again at the end of the quest to confirm she is a knight-errant then she never goes to the lodge.

Jauffre's chest at Weynon Priory should be safe as well as mechanically the game doesn't reset it.

yay bought the vault thing for frostcrag and been dumping all my stuff in one of the chests, seems to be working good, periodically going back to dump more stuff so will notice if its suddenly empty :)

edit just got a ring that gives night vision when equiped :D

Well I played about 1.5 hours and decided once the rose tinted new graphics wear off it's just a boring old and very dated Bethesda game.

Still got no hope for ES6.

One of the things I dislike about the game as standard unless you play as certain builds the carrying amount is too meagre to be fun especially at earlier levels.

I'm doing a pure mage run & ran into this yesterday. Found a decent armour set in a dungeon. No use to me, but it was worth a fair whack. Except it's too heavy for me to carry

Fortunately, you can move (albeit slowly) in Oblivion Remastered when over-encumbered. But it took a while to get out of the dungeon.
