Indeed.

My advice is for Lucero to invoke the Gibbo Loophole and plead for mercy![]()
Or alternatively start posting at a top tier level, wait a few years, be invited into the elite crew, and then not have to worry about breaking rules.

To squash the impression some have that this forum is run by powercrazed moderators, its not but their is an impression out there it is.
What do you think your chances of becoming a mod are?
Its like grassing a kid in at school for something pointless.
I think he knows he has no chance!
This thread is disappointing really, and pointless. Its like grassing a kid in at school for something pointless.
/Skim read over..
Who hasn't overendowed themselves (or their exploits) over the internet in the past? Honestly, bit of a pointless thread unless the reason was to either embarass the person in question, or get him banned. A proper Motors post...
I think it highlights some glaring holes in the applications of the rules round here.
Janesy was banned when a mod lost his patience with him and permabanned him. his only offence at the time (the straw that broke the camel's back in the mod's eyes) was correcting somebody's spelling mistake for them.
So all banned members that show they are repentant should be allowed to stay? In that case a HUGE amount of posters should be unbanned/allowed to have a new account...but they won't be allowed, most, if they sign up again and post who they were, will get banned.![]()
From what I have read in this sad thread L seems like a nice bloke -people change and for that they should be recognised. What good will banning him do? It's the Internet. He will just join up again... It would be a far greater accomplishment to win him over, but that appears to be the mentality amongst moderators here... Far easier to press the ban than try and engage with the person. Just something I have noticed.
Since you'd be such an inflexible mod if you were in charge, presumably you'd also ban yourself for spamming Wikipedia pages? These moderating rules you keep referring to...where does it say that they are completely inflexible? How was it the straw that broke the camel's back if it was his only offence at the time? If he commited lots of offences, then you can't just take one offence and ask why was he banned for it.
Lots of questions that I doubt you'll be able to answer properly.
No Robbie I'd only ban you.
(p.s. change the record, or are you going to bang this drum for as long as you did the "i hate fox" one ?)
