and some thought i was wrong about the new xbox

I really think they should give 3D a rest. It's just another fad that is on its way out. Leave it to the cinemas.

Completely agree with this.

I know quite a few people with 3d TVs, most don't have any glasses and none have bought any 3d content. Unlike HD, which brings tangible benefits, 3d is a gimmick & I'd be surprised if its used by more than a small percentage of games.

3d is a gimmick and I think it will remain one.

I've got a 3d Sammy tv and I don't use it to play any of my console games in 3d.

However I do also collect blurays so I am building up my 3d blurays as they come out. I'm not sure why the people who you don't have glasses. Any decent set includes at least one (passive or active).

it will be more powerful than people on here expect . simple reason is it has to be as it has to run games for at least 5-7 years !

Like the 360/PS3 already have? Their power is in the programming efficiency and not having powerful components due to cost.

so it will be as powerful as they say and i said. cant wait for it to come out and people are like damn he was right :D

No it won't. How could a console possibly have a CPU more powerful than any PC?

a lot dont want it to be that powerful as one they have mega expensive pcs in comparison or think how the hell can they manufacture a console for a low enough price.

They can't. It's not possible, Sony already make a small loss on each PS3 they sell. They'd bankrupt themselves if they put £1000+ of kit on sale for £300.

they will lose on the console for first few years while producing them they always do. xbox 360 was exactly the same. role on november next year !!

Yes, a small amount. And that was on a console that was considerably less powerful than a PC at that time.

I read the new Xbox uses an AMD A10 based CPU with built in GPU for media decoding etc and a 79xx based dedicated GPU for gaming....

Its all speculation though..... :)

I would be pretty shocked as well if the xbox couldn't do 1080p. 1080p is also a term that sells it to people

It's one of those numbers that Joe average recognises but doesn't understand. 720p looks worse on thebox

II hope it's good. I'm finding more and more I want to play with a controller on thesofa (even tho iIhave a htpc ) Its more relaxed. I don't have to worry about upgrading a pc or settings. It would be nice if it came with a mouse option for rts games. That's the only thing missing.

I get tired of having to worry about gfx settings on pc. I am finding more and more that if a game is equal on pc and xbox.. I'll choose xbox. Just because it's easier
