Better than nothing. I think people are over the fact we couldn't play online for a few nights...or at least i hope people are.
The number of people who will actually whine and then cancel their subscription is well within the minority. Microsoft have nothing to worry about.
I bet half of the people who threatened to leave Live, even on this board, never do.
Anyway, I'm happy with any free game, as I never had a single problem

Well maybe I take people too seriously
. But some people did get rather pathetically worked up about it .
I cba to turn on my 360, but is this game already available? What happens to those that have bought it? Or are they saying this game is a new release next week and it is free for the first 4 days etc? Also is this an 800 point game?
Free is Free, I am sure we all wanted a certain amount of points so we could pick our own freebie, and I am sure we all knew deep down it was not going to happen

Edit: Just checked on majornelson's site. If you already bought it you have to contact MS (presumably they will give you back your 800 points to your live account). win win situation for those who bought this game and found it rubbishy as they now get 800 points back, I assume.

It is. I just read a bit about the game and it looks quite good tbh!!!
I can't complain, I got 2 free XBLA games from a very kind member of these forums last week (thanks again Mike UK!!), as well as now getting this freebie!!!

I like free!! You have to think for a good say 50% (off the top of my head) of the Live community they are quids in as they probably did not play during the problem times or were unaffected by the issues or were Silver members (who have less reason to complain imo).
I myself was not affected much so am very appreciative of this gesture (as there is no specific SLAs for xbox live, we really are not entitled to anything at all). To me this is a great triumph for "user power" of you will.
