Did I hear correctly there was a memory leak bug with Lollipop? Did it involve tabs in your browser having to reload after a very short time out of use? My GPE ROM on my S4 has the problem, it's quite bad.

no idea but i have the standard browser and the chrome on my sony and that only happens on the standard browser never on chrome.

hasn't really affected me as someone on the moto g xda forum created an lmk patch which has given me near-4.4.4 multitasking.

Ah OK, my GS4 is currently broken so can't have a look. It felt like the task manager kept way too many apps open in the background/spread itself too thin, hence the tabs having to constantly reload.

with lollipop the low memory killer is dynamic so should adjust for the workload/open apps at any one time, the problem is the values they've set it at are the same for all devices and even for top end devices are pretty weird. all the mod i've got (only works on motorola phones sadly) does is set these values to sensible, static values just like on kitkat. the guy who made it submitted them to github and they were merged into cm12, but presumably not for all devices.

at least google are fixing it for everyone now though, massive oversight on their part imo.

Yes it's bloody awful. Look at the running apps and you'll see pretty much all of your processes are 'restarting' and system RAM usage is high.

Installed 5.1 on my N5 now, so hopefully no more for me.

Lollipop for the GS4 via OTA is probably still a couple of months away, the Note 4 hasn't finished seeding yet.

I'm sure they will, looks like it's the S4 devices that are delayed, seems a common thing.
