Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) released

Examples?

Chrome would be the most obvious one - previously when not at the top of a page the nav buttons at the top and soft buttons at the bottom would disappear - now they are always visible. Hope this behaviour isn't replicated when I get my 6p!

Which buttons at the bottom? The android nav buttons? Never seen chrome buttons on the bottom?

chrome address bar / nav buttons at the top and android soft navigation buttons at the bottom. top buttons still go but bottom doesnt!

I've never had the nav buttons hide on chrome + Lollipop. I use chrome beta if that makes any difference.

what made this go from 5.xx to 6? i'm sure in the past only big updates cause the first number to go up, but from what i've seen this update seems so small i don't even realise i'm on 6.0 most of the time. was i just spoiled with lollipop being so different or does anyone else feel this could have easily been 5.3?

Visually it's barely any different (volume toggles are about it), but I guess the under-the-hood changes and things like Doze, Now on Tap and the new app permissions are a big enough feature to warrant a major number, and frankly the latter probably is - it's great to have for those poky apps that insist on sending you notifications and blocking location or data for this or that.

Yeah could have been an incremental update quite easily... But meh.

I only noticed the new animation update last night. I had nova override the animation when I loaded my backup so never noticed it. A The new animation is slick.

Nexus 9 on 6.0 - battery life. not bad at all.

Snap, posting from it now, can't see much different yet, other than than font for the clock on the lockscreen☺

Biggest change is that when you pull down for the notification tray, it appears where you swipe rather than in the middle.
