Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) released

how many of you with Nexus 9 got the OTA? I did try to load it manually, but failed and did not try to re-attempt.

It's rooted and bootloader unlocked, might that be the cause why it didn't work?

Yup.

The documentation on the feature rather plainly states, "On devices running Android 6.0 (API level 23) or higher, the default system behavior is to back up almost all data that an app creates." All the tutorial flags will be cleared, and if the developer does everything right, even push notifications will start working without the user having to do anything.

The most amazing thing is this:

Restore won't just work for apps from the Play Store, either. Sideloaded apps and apps from third-party app stores should also have their app data restored when they are installed.

Updated my Nexus 5 OTA today and all looks good apart from mobile data. When I went in to set my mobile limit it says I'm over the limit for this month but all the updates today were done over wifi at home. I've checked my mobile account and it's not over the limit so not sure what's happened there. If I leave the limit on I get a constant reminder that I'm over my limit. Am I able to reset it?

Are you guys all installing it from the settings menu in android? Are Google staggering the rollout as my friend has it on his but still no sign of it on my nexus 5?

I've been mashing the "system updates" tab for the last week or so, but to no avail. I got the update pop up earlier in the notification bar saying that 6.0 was available to download. Google do stagger the rollout. It's frustrating having to wait but I'm sure you will get the update in the coming days.

It's too early for me to comment on battery life but I'm very impressed with Marshmallow so far. I thought Lollipop was buttery smooth but this is even smoother, the OS couldn't get any quicker  It is lightning fast.

I'm supposed to be selling my N5 to a friend in a couple of weeks but now I'm not so sure that I want to...

Battery life has been noticibly better. Boot up time this morning seemed slow however. The overall feel of the N5 is good and snappy. Chrome however feels a bit laggy and sale especially when typing text in the forums.

Just got my ota update on the nexus 7 2013, only took 20mins.

Edit- sorry I was wrong 5.1.1 is what I got... Sorry if I got hopes up

I've had 6.0 on my Nexus 5 for a bit and I've regularly seen the battery emptied within half a day. Looks like WiFi is consuming all ly battery for some reason. Anyone got any ideas why? Are there any known issues with 6.0 and Wifi?

Updated my Nexus 9 last night and its been on standby in my hotel room all day and lost 89% battery doing nothing! WiFi is again the culprit!
