I was hoping that a press and hold of the home button while on the home screen would open Google Now, but it doesn't

.

I'm with mrk, the removal of the swipe up is really annoying. I'm going to have to add the Google Now app as an icon on my homescreen until they change it

Canny annoying that one of the big reviews mentioned that, but didn't say how to activate it... Nice now that it's enabled!

Do you think they were under some kind of NDA as I think it unlocks some great tweaks, something I would have thought the big reviewers would have been all over - strange

So far so excellent regarding Doze. Went to bed with 100%, woke up 8 hrs later and it's at 99%!

You don't if you have TWRP recovery.

Simply go to wipe->advanced-> 'tick' data->repair or change filesystem->resize.

No wipe and fixes the partition size.

Having battery % on status bar is somthing I do miss with stock android so nice to know its available in 6

Indeed, on Lollipop I always used Battery Percentage Enabler though as i missed it too much too

Im not rooted yet mate, this is on the 2nd N6.

It was shown in the videos I watched ages ago. That's how I knew how to unlock it.

Just installing this on Nexus 9 now, I've not looked at Android M since preview 1, so will be good to see what performance is like!

If I'm on my home screen (Nova Prime for me) it opens Google Now for me. Anywhere else and it opens Now on Tap.

I've just installed Adguard, which claims blocks ads without root (not on 3rd party apps with the free one mind), so I'll see how that goes. It's obviously not going to help with the other issues though.

Is there not a setting in Apex to tell it what to do when you press and hold the home button? I know there is in Nova but it's been a while since I've looked at Apex.

Unfortunately not. Theres a lot of options about single taps, double taps and long presses on a lot of other areas, but nowhere to set an action for long press on the home button.
