I'm currently on Voda with a Samsung Nomnomnia which I've installed with a Sektor v6.5 Winmo Rom..

I think (I've got to double check) I might be able to start the 'Upgrade' process soon and I'm wondering which Phone to go to!..

The Phones that interest me are:

HTC Hero (or Magic)
HTC Leo
Nokia N900

Now I've used Winmo v6.5 (albeit a Cooked Version) and actually like it, but I'm very interested in Android, and Linux on a Phone really wets my whistle a little!..

I don't want an (overpriced) iPhone and can't stand Symbian as an OS!, so that leaves Android, Winmo and Linux..

So out of these three phones (or any other ones you can suggest) which should I push to the top of my Upgrade Negotiations??.. :)

Cheers
Sim

Can I point out that Android is really a Linux variant when all's said and done :)
Runs on the Linux kernel, and if you root it you can get most of the normal bits.

Ogling up a Hero for December, I want BASH!

i've been running winmo phones for years, and always found they ok, but when i got my hero it did everything i wanted winmo to do and felt so much better. Best bet is to just play with the ones you want and see what you like

I like winmo due to their native synchronisation ability with Windows/Outlook, But most winmo phones/pdas I have had never seemed quite a smooth/easy to use on the go as the android/iphone OSs

I'd wait for the Leo (but then I am bias, it's an updated Touch HD, which I have), you may even be able to buy one with Android on as the phone the new version of Android was shown off on appears to be the Leo...

The syncing and connectivity with everyday stuff on Android is just superb and I could not live without it really.

iPhone's OS is still closed off and my friends often complain that they can't do simple things without a faff like setting a chosen mp3 track as a ringtone or whatever.

WinMo is set to change majorly with HTC's Leo so I will keep an eye on that!

Cyanogen will continue rom releases though and there ARE workarounds to get fully functioning Google Apps on Cyan's roms - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=565060

The future is good and it is tasty :)

Rule #7 - No promotion of business interests

Banhammer incoming methinks...

A friend has an htc hero, played with it and did not like the ui, but only played for a few minutes. Prefer n900 (got n810 currently)

I want BASH!
