Personally im done with ubisoft and refuse to buy any more of there games ,which is a shame as i got many hours of playtime out of the old anno games.

Have to say I much prefer the age of exploration/renaissance Anno games, but still looking forward to this.

Still would rather wait for a steam sale rather than going through uplay, but then I assume the steam client will just install a uplay client anyway?

Pretty much. Going through steam will launch the uplay client from which the game will launch anyways. At least that's how 2070 worked.

The steam version still requires uplay client to play. Cdkeys for £18 is still the cheapest way to get the game.

I have not yet received mine. Like few pre-orders I have done with them, the keys and checking the current status it will be sent out on the day of release.

Hopefully they get the keys sent out before launch so i can get it pre-loaded,potato internet FTL

Well my key was just sent out by cdkeys and has been activated on uplay, no sign of pre-install, but hopefully can get it going soon

If anyone was interested, my friend and I purchased this from CJS last night for £23.80 for the standard edition. Key was available straight away for collection from the Autokey thing CJS use, entered the key into Uplay and preloaded the game ready for tomorrow

Yup just got mine aswell and activated,no sign of how to start the pre-load yet tho.Although i know the preload is up for some people(has been for a day or 2 now)

Option just randomly became visible now. Pre-installing the game now no issues. Odd, but cant complain

I did leave a message on the ubi thread: http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/1310083-Preload/page6 so not sure if that made a difference.

@CrispyOtter, no reviews yet (could be a worrying sign) so it's a blind purchase. All the Anno games have been pretty good, this one looks highly detailed and the futuristic theme with moons and planets looks great.

Ingame footage 02/11/15 - looks very nice indeed....

Only had an hour or so with it, but so far seems pretty nice. Evolutionary rather then revolutionary compared to 2070. It does look very nice with everything cranked up and the day / night cycle.

It does however seem slightly more streamlined and things have been somewhat easier. Not a bad thing per say.
