Anno 2205 - Hit strategy series goes into space!

I gave it about six hours and decided it was the weakest of the series. The removal of 'proper' trade routes from the game killed it for me. There was no sense of movement when trading resources around; just felt like numbers. Maybe DLC might help it; it was certainly pretty enough.

It's worth the £15 price tag. It's a fun game thats very playable without hurting your brain.

I wouldn't be happy having paid full price, but at the current prices I don't mind. At least it doesn't require making loads of notes and reading wiki pages like the previous titles did. Performance seems better now than the videos I saw on release.

Tempted to pick this up, in need of a builder type game...

Try Cities skylines far superior simulator & builder.

Cannot understand how they advertise Anno as city builder. Is not.
(and I have it). is just Nano. And bit dumb to say the least compared to the previous versions.

Yeah I liked the moon feature etc but meh.

Anno 1604 is far superior than all.

Venice was the expansion for 1404, which was the pinnacle as far as I'm concerned.

Great gameplay with absolutely gorgeous graphics.

So, this games been out a fair while now...

Is anyone still playing it? Have they fixed/patched any previous negatives and is sandbox back yet? I played 1602 and 2070 and loved them but i heard this one is a lot more toned down?

The end game on the previous Anno's used to get the better of me a bit, became chaotic trying to manage everything whilst dealing with fires, plague and war so if its not too dumbed down it might be a good thing for me anyway :P

Cheers

It doesn't feel the same as the other Anno games. But the core game is the same with more interesting options, like trading between outposts etc.
And better battle system.

Whilst it may not have the depth of previous games it does provide a decent game with stunning graphics.

If you can pick it up cheap it's defo worth a buy.
