Looks like things are hotting up judging by the FB posts, is Oliver Withington allowed to enter if he is a professional racer?

Will need to work on shedding the spare tyre in time for July's Grand Final...

Default set up, abs, sc, overcast conditions, solo race mode 10 laps.

Im finding it handles better with the 15.9l of fuel rather than the 5l
Can get a few laps in, in the mid to late 29s more consistently in solo mode.
I've rebooked up for fri this week and I'm up in that area anyways, picking up some car parts. 2 birds n 1 stone etc.

I dunno, he was wearing a race suit with sponsors and everything, people only usually wear that if they're being paid to...ergo professional.

I'm sure the Palmersports questionnaire asked if the participant had a race licence too...don't know why.
 
Bit unfair if a racing driver is allowed to compete in the real world racing part, I think he races in the honda civic cup.

That is like a chef entering masterchef when all the other competitors are used to making beans on toast lol

Would be funny if he got beat on one of the activities, I would seriously try my hardest on the atoms ha

He may of been asked to gain some publicity for the competition or for marketing reasons possibly?

Any one else set any decent times, I am down next Wednesday. Did you manage to set another time aero rich?

Just a publicity thing, that Amy did say that they wouldn't allow anyone with a racing licence to enter, a la Gt Academy.

No not yet m8, I was booked in for tomorrow but had to cancel.
Might have to wait until the roadshow comes to town.

Any news on that btw?

For those who came last time, the Caterham track driving has now been changed to the latest Clio Cup cars.

1.6l Turbo 220Bhp
147MPH top speed
6 Speed paddle shift
5 second 0 - 60 time.

Oli is a pro racing driver and appearing in BTCC next season, however he was not allowed to enter the competition :) Otherwise that would be a little unfair ;) It was more of a PR thing!
