Another hit-n-run shocker

Look I'm not having an argument about semantics, I was shocked to have one line pulled up and quoted in a detremental manner after said event.
I shall rephase the comment
"What a sorry state of affairs the world is in." There -no implication of reference to years gone by. My point stands - its disgusting.

He pulled you up on it because you weren't complaining about muslims\hooligans\racists etc, you were complaining about drivers. ;)

I'm really glad Pheebs is ok. Unfortunately we all know nothing will come of you reporting it but it's best you to anyway. :)

Don't worry Pheebs, some people have a funny concept of the real world or making comments in the right situations - and generally are about as helpful in threads as a bucket with a hole in it.

Glad you're ok. Hope you did some damage to his car ;) As I said, some people haven't got the guts to own up to their mistakes or take responsibility for their actions. Just glad it wasn't worse.

Hehehe, I wish I had damaged his nice shiny clean car, but I think he got away with a mere handprint on his bonnet! Boo! Sadly I don't think my butt was big enough to make a dent (I wish I had J-lo butt implants so I could have left a butt print! :D) If I was more with it I'm sure I would have quite possibly retaliated a fair bit. Fortunately for him he just got a look of disbelief, followed by an angry glare   !

Pheebs: Glad you are ok, dont worry, when you get down here, its far more civilised ;)

She could only get away with posting this hidden behind text in an internet forum. :p

 *slap*

I'm guessing the whole feel-sorry-for-your-girlfriend things stopped now! Hehehe, me and my butt will make a point of being mean to you now for the rest of the weekend! :p

You have ammo for next time she says "does my bum look big in this?" now ;)

Wish my bum looked big on that guys bonnet! Even if it didn't make a dent it might have done the job of giving him a fright!

You know what, I'm really quite glad I decided to don combat trousers today instead of a skirt! That could have been a nasty experience as well as an embarassing flash of undies experience! Always look on the bright side of life eh?! :D

Sorry to hear that. A similar thing happened to my girlfriend a few months ago here in Belfast. She was crossing the road and a car just came speeding from around a corner and banged right in to her. She is registered blind and was carrying her white cane and had crossed where her mobility trainer had told her. The driver started to shout abuse at her, he never even asked if she was ok while she was lying in a heap on the ground or offer to help her up! Then he just drove off. She wasn't able to report it due to not being able to see his registration plate. I was incredibly angry at this and just too glad that she wasn't badly injured.

The first thing I thought when reading the original post was how horrible that was.

And the first thing TWFox replies with is a sarcastic remark. Totally uncalled for imo.

Is it so hard to show some sympathy? In a thread like this - sarcasm is like a bull in a china shop anyway.......

Glad your ok.

Chances are the guy doesn't even have a UK license, and thinks red means go.

Still doesn't excuse driving off, hopefully if he does it again the person will be huge fat bloke who'll snap the car in two by sitting on it. ;)

Thats terrible!! Yet more disbelief from me! I'm guessing nothing more came of the situation? No witnesses or anything that could shed any light and help some closure for her?

You realise that that comment is going to cause me no end of problems in your absence? :p

Sadly there were no witnesses around and so there wasn't really anything she could do about it except learn to expect the unexpected.
