Another logitech cs are brilliant thread

I also waiting for them to get back to me, I told them I cannot provide proof of purchase, as my dad got the mouse when he was in the states. Im not even sure if it is still within warranty, either just out of just in.. hope I get a new mouse could do with an upgrade.

Oh? I'm just out of warranty then.......hmmm

Edit:

Thank you for contacting Logitech Customer Care.

Kindly provide me your exact date of purchase. If you are still under the warranty, apparently, there is no available G7 for replacement so I will be replacing your mouse with G9x laser mouse instead.

Include as well your complete Shipping Address, City, Country, Postal Code, and phone number.

Same here happend to me exept i had a g9 to start with =D

See, I already use a G5, this thread just reminded me to chase up on my faulty G7 which has been in my drawer for almost a year....

So, I'm about to get a G9x for free to replace something I don't use :D

Well, if I get a replacement.....what do they usually do if you're out of warranty? :s

Thank you for contacting Logitech Customer Care.

I would like to inform you that we no longer manufacture the G7 Laser Cordless Mouse, but do not worry I can replace it with a G500 Gaming Mouse. Please prompt me if you find the replacement piece satisfactory.

:)

happy days. Received a mail today saying it had been shipped 10 minutes later ups mail me with a tracking number. You really cant fault these guys

i have to say my 518 gave up on me a year or 2 ago they swapped the said mouse out after a couple of simple questions and requested i cut the plug off my old mouse and post it to a po box which i happyly did as then mx518s were a good 35-40 quid and i got a shiney new 1800 dpi version as apposed to my 1600

Answering your question on G9 - yep a good mouse

You can spend ages tuning it up to any config you like to suit your gaming/desktop style and save the profile(s) to the on board memory.

Then moving to another computer, laptop for instance, or LAN party is a doddle

Highly reco it

The only thing which I find odd is that they advertise the G7 Carbon on their website yet they say it's not in production anymore  (That thing is ultra sexy btw :p)

Also one more thing, I e-mailed them yesterday evening 20:21, they replied in the morning 09:16. I replied back with my response and they replied again 1 hr later. Awesome service.

Might try with my old old MX Wireless Desktop to riddle my luck hah :D

yea my mouse has developed a fault aswell , lets see how good they are

Good luck. ;)

Theyre support is the best ive ever experienced, they replaced my borked G5 with a new G500. Didnt have to destroy the old mouse or send it back. Now if only xfx can offer as good a service concerning my gtx 280 graphics card.

Damn I wish my G5 broke already, it's got over 4yrs now and is still working perfectly as new -_-...

And i want the new g500 !!

I was in contact with them and then I realised I was on the America support forum. Oops, so started a new query with the Europe support forum and then somehow ended up with two people from Logitech in correspondence over the same issue.

The lady I was communicating with was very laid back and asked nothing really, said that the G5 was no long available and would I like an MX620 - errrrm NO, I want a replacement from the 'G' series.

Anyway mean while the other guy said the G5 wasnt available and would have to send me a G500 (thumbs up) from me! But then he went quiet and I didnt hear back from him

So theres me thinking they are gonna send out out two new mice.

Later the lady gets back to me saying she has shipped me a G9x. BONUS they are worth £90 odd.

Im still waiting to see if the other bod gets back to me with a G500 LOL

Keep you posted..

Wish other companies were as laid back and receptive as Logitech are! Love it, considering my G5 is about 4years old and was originally purchased from a very popular online retailer in the states for about the same price as they were over here but in $$
