As above, enable C1E and Speedstep and your idle voltage will come right down. I run it enabled at 3.6ghz with no ill effects.

Your temps at load are fine, so long as you are using Small FFT's to really heat things up. The only one that would cause me concern is the PWM temps, but they are still within tolerable levels. You might want to add a fan in there though. A little 60mm fan will make about 10c or so difference at load. Removing the heatpipe and replacing the thermal tape with Ceramique will take another good few degrees off load temps.

i have a case fan on the side of my antec 900 blowing constantly will that not ve sufficient for cooling? but i will probs do the screw trick and replace all the heatsink thermal paste with my AS5

Speedstep or C1E are definately not enabled, as your idle is still showing 3600 according to CPU-Z and the voltage is 1.52.

With them enabled on mine I get 2400mhz and the voltage is between 1.2 - 1.3 IIRC

one last question diggsy do you rate the scythe mugen 2 or asus triton 88 for a cpu cooler i was going to order a thermalright 120 true with scythe s flex or slipstream fan bt not in stock

I personally would go for a cooler in this order....

TRUE with Noctua NF-P12
Noctua NH-U12P
Sunbeam Core Contact (heard good things about this lately)
Xigmatek HDT-S1283

There are some other great coolers, but those are about the best of the bunch. Not all of them are cheap, but you do get what you pay for.

diggsy i got hte voltage thing sussed it didnt like 450fbs i duno why jus whgacked it back to 9x400 and the speed step has started to work now

anyways i have checked that the HSF i linked above is gna cost about 45£ you reckon i should save myself 3£ and get the non LED version lol with the boring black fan?

and also what about setting the RAM ration to 4:5? 1000mhz?

I found the xigmatek heatsinks really fiddly when it comes to mounting the fan, it's the worst fan-mounting system I've ever come across!

i have left the ram as it is and went back to 8x450 i didnt want to puish the voltage any higher on 9x400 but best to leave the ram @1:1 it unstables your overclock in most cases

just a quick update im running it at 9x390=3.51ghz seems very stabl given up on 3.6 cos my mobo dnt like 400fbs and i dont wana run it at 1.55v if speed step dnt work on 8x multiplier thanks for the help guys now im gonna buy a new HSF
