Another Virgin Media Rant!!!!

Sorry if you lot are getting sick of hearing about my problem with Virgin Media....Here is my latest...

After a lot of arguing with them, they promised to give me better service and this that and the other, so i went for the 20mb Broadband. My broadband box didnt support 20mb so they sent an engineer out this afternoon. my wife was upstairs changing my 3 month old baby so didnt hear the door, then he puts a card through the door and goes....i phone virgin media and tell them to send him back and they tell me thats not possible....bearing in mind im calling a 0906 number from my mobile, dunno how much its gonna cost me, but they say its not possible. What can i do to get him back out before 5pm????
 
Phone them and ask to speak with the manager, we've had the same problem in the past.
Promised someone to come back before 5pm, he never showed up, got 2 months half price as compensation for that on top of other things.
Cant stand VM compared to what BY were like!
 
Red and White, It aint her fault if she is doing a job as a mother and looking after her son......Just spoke to another bloke who is ringing me back, and if he dont, il drag that company by the b******s until they learn how to offer good customer support to their customers...

To be fair, if he knocked and waited but you didn't hear him it's not the guys fault, and he'll probably be working on a pre-set rota of customers to visit in that area.

I know its pretty crap, but they'll have protocols for these sort of things and won't change that and muck an engineer around just to please joe bloggs (I'm not having a go here, just stating how it is)
 
I understand what everyone is saying but how can dropping off the box when he is only 10mins away from my house mess his whole day up? iv told them il even meet him somewhere to collect it.

It won't be upto the engineer mate, he'll be being told where to go and what installations to do, if the head office or his manager (or whoever sorts out his daily rota) doesn't tell him to go somewhere or do something, he won't be able to do it
 
mate, im not being funny, but if i were Virgin Media, and i had given a bad service to someone (as what i have received) i *** make execptions....these 2 weeks alone i have been through SO much with Virgin Media you wouldnt believe it....it would be a solicitors wet dream lol

I understand what you're saying and i'd love this to be the case with VM aswell as other companies, but it just doesn't make for a good business model - they'd lose too much money this way, think of the staffing costs for the staff required to handle all of the new re-arrangements if this became common place, then having to re-do rotas for engineers, mucking engineers about etc.

I should imagine an engineer misses several appointments each day due to the customers fault, but if half of these were re-arranged for the same day, it just wouldn't be feasible
 
There 5 minutes must be different to my 5 minutes....so Virgin Media own ULTRA slow watches? He was meant to call me back!!!
 
he turned up and you didnt answer the door, what more do you want, i would love to see the look on your face when you get the £10 no answer charge on your next bill :p

With a attitude like that its no wonder they arent bending over backwards to get the engineer back out to you.

that wont be happening because i've made sure they refund me the 0906 call charges, which they are doing, plus i've said there is NO way on earth they are getting the £10 charge lol.......

we'll see
