Antworks, my ants not doing anything?

Or even better, wait until they dig into each others territory and watch them battle it out. :D

Before you know it, the black ants will have to cross the 'tunnel' when they see a red ant coming. The red ants will burn crosses in the black ants tunnels and the whole ant world will descend into chaos.
Then along comes Mantin Luther King to speak for the black ants. The red ants will gradually accept the black ants until they eventually live in peace.

Of course, by that stage you'll be bored with them and will have binned them or fed them to the goats.

ya rly.

oh cool, i'll order some ants when i'm back out of hospital then

i let this batch of wrong ants go (much to my girlfriends delight :) )

would be cool to put a divider in, then get red ants on one side and black on the other, then when they're least expecting it (after a week or so of digging) removed the divider and see who has the best base!
Did you start off holes for them? You're meant to create some cm or so deep holes, then instinct is meant to take over, with them burrowing. My brother never had a problem with normal ants from the garden, even procuring a Queen, who the other ants made a cavernous hole for. The queen then proceeded to lay eggs, and some time later there were little orange baby ants everywhere :D

In short, you have to start holes for them, and give them time.
