Worst thing about being a mature gamer is reaction times, I've been playing FPS since the days of Doom and as I've got older my skills have declined and it does get a little frustrating getting pwned by all these whippersnappers!QUOTE]
Same boat mate noticed reaction speed start to nosedive mid 40s 50 this year![]()
I play csgo with a couple of dudes one is 60 and the other 66.
I was thinking about this today (while I should have been working to put money in the pension pot) and realised that if I maintained an interest in gaming until retirement age it could well be blummin' fantastic - I might have all day, any day I fancied to play games (and imagine the tech!).
I imagine the time I hit retirement (I'm 27) it will all be VR head sets and treadmills so a lot of us will be too frail to play![]()
you OAPS been gaming all your life? do you believe your vision has been affected by staring at the screen?
Genuinely interested to know.
benefits for the mind would likely out-way the above though I'd imagine
My dad, not really being a pensioner, but he is a raging Elite fan, I have never seen anyone so keen! I can see him playing Elite for many 10's of years to come
Out of interest, what PC has he got and did he build it himself?
