Any good spot creams out there?

wash morning and night as usual, but dont use soap or any cleaner that will dry your skin out too much. then a couple of times a day freshen yourself up at loo times by giving your face a quick wash with just water.

Woah chill man it was just a joke.

I'm stupidly vain so use a silly amount of scrubs etc. I even use a cleanser and then clear skin moisturiser. Infact this cleanser isn't good enough so I'm going to have to get an astringent one. Laugh away :D

Actually using stronger cleansers etc can make the situation worse. I used to get them a lot when younger and was using cleanser, toner and mositurisor at night plus tea tree facial wash in morning. I spoke to a beautician for advice and she pointed out that I was over cleansing the skin and stripping the natural oils. The skins reaction to this is to produce even more oil than before, causing more spots! Now I just use simple facial wipes and moisturiser.

indeed, which is why you should never use cheapie soap or harsh cleansers like biactol and clearasil, also that one u put on a cotton pad and wipe the grease off with is a terrible one, full of alcohol and removes ALL oil from the skin.

Wash my face every night and I'm still a spotty beggar! I'm hoping time takes its course and they stop coming in a couple of years :o

Ask your doctor?

I put on some PanOxyl Acnegel 5, you can get it from the chemist without prescriptions. careful not to get it on your clothes thou...it bleaches it. :(

Im suprised it hasn't been answered yet, everyone must be slipping, the only good cream for spots is Jism, does wonders for the skin. :D

so ive heard obviously. :D

After shave - Im not sure if this is good for your skin but i put it on a spot (mum advised me to) and it dryed it out straight away.

My sister was having problems with being a bit spotty now and again. Not a mjor problem or acne, but she did find she tended to get problem skin on occasion. I bought her some stuff from the Dermalogica Skin Care range. She said it was the best stuff she had ever used. I got her the acne prone skin kit for starters, you can get it lots of places online (I tend to shop around to see who is offering the best prices).

witch hazel as an astringent and tea tree oil on spots themselves
usually clears any spots up over night
rose water as a toner, use a simple, non perfumed moisturiser
and make sure you drink plenty of water!

natural > chemicals

i did the whole tooth paste thing once, it was messy, i still had a spot in the morning, but i had minty fresh skin :)

If it's just a minor thing here and there, then what works for you is a matter of chance more than anything. Joking aside, regular washing and hygeine is the most significant thing, most of the things you can buy for spots are just aids for that.

Dermalogica Medicated Clearing Gel

Very very good for stopping future out breaks but all Dermalogica is good except can be pricey.
