Any MKIV R32 owners here?

Lovely car. (mainly aimed at Wayn0r)

Also I don't know why despite owning what is essentially a MKV R32 (250ps) in a different body (albeit set up slightly softer) I still want a MKIV R32.

I really don't know why though (as I know its just plain daft).

we have come to the conclusion on the oc that the mk4 is more the drivers car, its a lot more raw, interior is not as nice as the mk5, bucket seats etc and the mk5 is more of a cruiser. although, APS have started knocking out some nice R300 MK5's (300bhp) which are going down well, the r32 should be around that bhp anyway - and thats n/a.

lol! its funny, quite a lot of cupra owners taking the step up in the last few months. but also a few migrating to the edition30 gti!!

I'm not sure on the Edition 30, seems very expensive and I don't like the tartan seats, it's got to be leather etc.

First thing I'd do if I got an R32 is: Get the car detailed and then get my mates at JKM to but a milltek on it :)

Details? linky?

I did like the turbo-ed R32 which mullered that Z4 on the autobahn :)

Aye, thats SirHenri's twin turbo R32 :D the ultimate sleeper, totally stock exterior. but with 550bhp :D

What's the price diff for a UK vs import?

Add prob get Revo for it too. Revo has certainly helped with my Cupra (apart from the clutch) :(

no, he says during the video "twin turbo, 550bhp"

he has about 3 r32's i think all with some form of ridiculous power :D

I wrote 550hp originally, but edited it :D should have stuck with my first answer..

he should strap them all together and have some serious powaa :p

Don't think the revo will do as much good since the R32 is NA not turbo. I actually have to admit I really like the R32, it looks mean, but not too mean.

several places are quoting about 20-25bhp and about the same in torque increase from a remap so could be worth it

you will get that if you have a CAI and a milltek exhaust, + about 8-10bhp more for manifolds.

The general conensus is, for 320bhp (100bhp/litre) you need=

CAI
Full Milltek system - catback, sports cats and manifolds
Schrick Cams
And a custom remap (revo etc dont do a map to account for cams yet).

and how much would all that cost? :D
is this not realistic? http://www.ccctech.co.uk/chiptuning.php?make=Volkswagon

im highly skeptical they can get that, the stock airbox and exhaust are notoriously strict as far as flow goes.

just an idea of how badly made the stock manifolds are in terms of flow.

There is a lot of anger around at the minute about how badly made the Milltek R32 ones are, as they have matched the exhaust ports to the manifold.

I thought Milltek's git was suppose to be of top quality? I had problems with a knocking exhaust orginally, but that's been soughted and I think more to do with the fitting

the quality of the welds etc are all fine, but there is a bit of controversy oer the fitment to the r32, as the exhaust ports on the block are square, they manifolds are around and some believe theye not quite big enough to cover the squares.

supersprint make some for the lhd car that have been port matched, but are expensive and hard to find.
