I wouldn't get to hung up on a 7800XT, most likely 6900XT performance for current 6900XT/6950XT prices. If I were you just a a 6950XT now and have done with it, 16Gb of vram, a lot of performance and there are some good deals out there at the moment.

There aren't any AI Cores in the 6950 XT so actually a 7800XT or 7900XT with this feature might be better for future Unreal 5 Titles which will use some AI.

It's possible but it's likely going to be years before games really benefit from having AI cores IMO given the lead time there is in games development. Back in the day ATI introduced a hardware based tessellation on it's 8500 all the way back in 2001, games didn't really start making use of the hardware until around 2010, this gives you an idea on the lead time between hardware and software (pretty extereme example but the point is to expect a gap).

Still no news?
According to redtechgaming 'rumours' Q3/Q4 for the 7800 XT.

The non XT 7800 is rumoured to cost $579 like the 6800 was and be about 4070 performance.

Kind of disappointing if so, more slot-in pricing that doesn't move the needle on price/performance.
I mean it's hard to say, they dropped the 7600 price at the last minute but whether they feel they need to with the 7800/XT we won't know until it's released I guess.

Edit: But they may just go "Lukz same az fortee seventee but moarz ram lolz"
