Any opinions on o2 broadband?

Get an ADSL service, and see how it goes. If you're not sure, go for one with a short contract term so if you cancel it all you've lost is the activation fee.

I'm looking for a new apartment at the moment and was going to get O2 bb, and am confused. One of them doesn't have LLU according to samknows and the postcode, but go to the adjacent roads (different postcodes), and places there do have LLU. Why? They're on the same exchange (Blackfriars, Manchester).

Are you sure they're on the same exchange? Obviously coverage would have to switch to a different exchange at some point.

I signed up for o2 on sunday. I presume if your exchange is llu u automatically get llu?

Been on adsl24 for a year, no complaints but BT removed their activation date for ADSL2+ for my exchange and I can't be bothered waiting any longer. I'm a slave to speed.

Speaking of which, my line is 2.6km as the crow flies, attenuation of 56dps. I can push my connection to 3mb. Think I'll see much difference? (I was only able to select up to 8mb when I signed up.)

Guys I think there are a few other members on here who will sign you up if you ask nice, Wicksta springs to mind.

I can't keep up with the mails I'm getting from people to add them so I've had to knock it on the head for a bit.

Finally able to put the order through yesterday that z0mbi3 kindly facilitated quite a few weeks ago. Suprised by the go live date of the 8th Sept, thats a lot quicker than I anticipated

Same here mate. 2.5km away from Balmoral Belfast and getting around 2.5mb. Attenuation of 57db. MY exchange just went llu last week. I wrote an email to O2 about the llu question and I got this back just now...

Hello and thanks for your email. As you are 4902 metres from the exchange we estimate your speed to be 1.14 Meg. The further you are from the exchange the slower your speed will be.

Thanks

Don't know what to make of that to be honest:)

I think I read that they're basically using BT info to determine stuff and thus it has a tendancy to be very wrong.

Got the router today, which I won't be using my speedtouch v585 v6 does the job no need to change it (plus I can fiddle with DMT).

I got it ordered last week with activation this Friday. Will post what its like for me cause according to SamKnows im around 3.14km from my exchange. I would like to think i see a slight improvement, if not more stablity than what i currently have cause my IP Profile keeps getting messed up even though my line has been tested and is working fine.

What settings did you need to confirm?

Hi guys, i'm big into games and after switching over to O2 have indeed noticed that i'm on an interleaved line and first line tech support refuse to switch me onto fast path, any suggestions ?
