Oh man your so cool. I wish I was you.
Same here... I saw the irony straight awayI also totally agree, the thread title was the reason I even opened this thread.Mohinder said:EXACTLY!
I'm glad someone gets it.
This is true. The result obtained and which university was attended are both important factors when you're starting your career, but as you progress further up the career ladder it becomes less important.[FnG]magnolia;11930603 said:Then I got a job and now - several jobs later - I realise that most employers don't even understand what 'grades' (sic) mean in Degrees.
i before e except after c (although there are many exceptions, received isn't one of them)![]()
Well done to all the new graduates!
I got my results today. I got a 2:1 BA(hons) Graphic Design from The Arts Institute at Bournemouth.
So chuffed that I got it but I'm a little bit disappointed that it wasn't a First as I really pushed myself this year. I do have a job interview tomorrow though so if I get that I don't think it will really matter. A degree is a degree at the end of the day. After a year or two in the business my portfolio will say more about me than my degree grade and a 2:1 in Graphics at the AIB isn't anything to be ashamed of.

me too![]()
2:1 w/ hons in Computer Science - a real computer degree![]()
Cool, what are you studying?
it wasn't solid really, hardest thing was motivating myself this final year. thought id made a right mess of things due to severe lack of work other the whole course, but result suggests otherwiseEdit, Comp for business - heard it was a solid course, congratulations on the 2:1. Probably had a couple of shared modules too, what you planning on doing now you're finished?
