Anybody else recieved there university results yet?

Well done to all the new graduates!

I got my results today. I got a 2:1 BA(hons) Graphic Design from The Arts Institute at Bournemouth.
So chuffed that I got it but I'm a little bit disappointed that it wasn't a First as I really pushed myself this year. I do have a job interview tomorrow though so if I get that I don't think it will really matter. A degree is a degree at the end of the day. After a year or two in the business my portfolio will say more about me than my degree grade and a 2:1 in Graphics at the AIB isn't anything to be ashamed of.

2:2 in Psychology. Not actually been to get it, but i'm 90% sure i've got a 2:2.
Should have really got a 2:1, but I didn't put the effort in! you can only get out what you put in as they say!

Then I got a job and now - several jobs later - I realise that most employers don't even understand what 'grades' (sic) mean in Degrees.
This is true. The result obtained and which university was attended are both important factors when you're starting your career, but as you progress further up the career ladder it becomes less important.

I now have 10 years' experience which is what people ask me about, not what university I went to and what results I achieved. They may ask if I am a graduate, and I reply that I am, but I've not been asked about what I got for a number of years now.

Received my results today..

Im a first class graduate of Southampton University: BSc Information Technology in Organisations with Hons!

:D

Appropriately pleased with that!

Good luck and/or congratulations to all others.

Cool, I'm at Bmouth Uni. I've got a mate just about to go into his third year at the AIB doing Graphic design, and another friend just starting her first year.

I'm just starting my 3rd year at the uni.

Woot, just got my first year results. Go an average 68/100 for the year passing all modules. If I'd have actually taken the exam I missed I would have got about 85/100 for one of my modules :)

Full of happy beans right now.:D

I got 61% as my average (2nd year) but I was hoping for 70%+ to get a scholarship, but after the way the 2nd semester went this year I was just happy to be able to stay on my course as needed 55% to stay on it.

Got mine today (despite being told I wouldn't until the 27th).

2:1, BSc Hons Internet Techology at Staffordshire University, dead chuffed :)

Cool, what are you studying?
:p

Edit, Comp for business - heard it was a solid course, congratulations on the 2:1. Probably had a couple of shared modules too, what you planning on doing now you're finished?
it wasn't solid really, hardest thing was motivating myself this final year. thought id made a right mess of things due to severe lack of work other the whole course, but result suggests otherwise . need to wait for final transcripts to see what happened! i absolutely hated the fact SEAS dont release jan results. utter joke

in terms of plans, trying to get a job now back at home but it is proving more difficult than i thought. how about yourself?

Got mine 4 yrs ago now, 2:1 in Comp Sci, 68%. Soooo close to that 1st, if only i'd spent a couple more hours refining my dissertation I would have got one, ah well!
