Anybody else who writes normal 'texts' like me?

I might shorten the odd word like "probs" instead of "probably" or "tho" instead of "though", but I'll always type "properly" using predictive text, and it capitalises on my phone automatically. I'll only use txt spk if I'm taking the **** ;)

Intellitype on modern phones works really well and my K800i is now trained with non standard words (names, websites etc) so I always text using proper words :D

I have always sent SMS messages using full English, even back when there was 160 character limits and phones didn't support multi-message messages.

I still did it even before the days of T9 predictive text, when I used T9, and now that my iPhone auto-corrects miss-hit letters it's even quicker!

I especially don't leave out things like apostrophes and commas, as a missed apostrophe could change the word completely!

I dislike texting and email wherever possible as most of my friends get mail on their phones as easily as text.

If I do text, I write properly.

If my wife sent me a text like the one the OP quoted, I would sit her down and make her eat every page of the collected works of Emily Post and Debrett's and then write it out correctly.

As above. I only use full grammar and spelling.

I don't know what most of the 'txt' crap means so it would take me 10 times as long to write a text.

My friends and I use full English when sending text messages, however my parents and my slightly chavy/emo (don't know how that's possible) sister use text speak, which is a pain to read and irritates me as they all have unlimited text mesages with their contracts.

Almost perfect given my phone has a full qwerty keyboard, but if the character count hovers over a multiple of 160 by a few characters, I will go back and amend.
