Anybody else who writes normal 'texts' like me?

I write all words in full apart from you (u) and I generally don't bother with apostrophes (don't = dont, we'll = well etc).

It takes me 10 minutes to decipher texts ThT r Wr1tn LiK THs :(

I used to use text speech but people started complaning they couldn't understand what I was saying half the time. Eventually I got used to using the predictive text input, you end up writing out words in full but it still saves time.

Before I had unlimited texts I used to use text talk to save space and keep it to one text message. But now I have unlimited, I don't care so I just type whatever comes out really.

It's not possible to write in anything other than proper english on an iPhone, although I would anyway.

On another note, using punctuation like full stops at the end of sentences on somewhere like MSN makes you look arrogant, also on an online game. If someone writes to me with a full stop at the end on WoW for example I just think "Who the **** is this?" Quite apart from looking educated to me it just looks like they're not aware of online culture.

95% of the time I use full words and punctuation, most of my friends do too. I occasionally shorten the odd word though. I have unlimted texts so it doesn't bother me :)

I do, with full grammar and spelling.

Can't stand text type.

Only occasionally will I use 'u' if I'm running out of space. Likewise I'll use some antiquated abbreviations if necessary: I mean if they were good enough for Shakespeare... :)

I agree same here - the most I do if I really want to fit all text in one instead of spilling over to two texts is truncate tomorrow to tmw. That is the only one I do and only if space in the text is running low.

Text speak irritates the living be-jesus out of me.

acronyms have their place ... tbh. I can usually spell though so predictive text is faster than most other ways.
